Regarded as the father of Yoga in the West, Paramahansa Yogananda was one of the first spiritual teachers from India to introduce Westerners to the practice of yoga meditation. Arriving in America in 1920, he established his society, Self-Realization Fellowship, that same year to disseminate his Kriya Yoga teachings. Through his classic life story, AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI—recognized as one of the most influential spiritual books of the 20th century—and his numerous other writings, he has inspired millions.
